In order to communicate the uncompromising authenticity and uniqueness of Buster's BBQ a working cowboy poet was recruited to sing Buster's praises. Shot on location at a grange hall in southern Oregon, the two resulting 30-second spots are especially memorable for their warmth, wry humor, and the unusual style with which the product's benefits are communicated.

The sun hung low that day
When Texas lost her favorite son;
With watery eyes we sobbed
And watched him leave for Or-e-gone.

'Said he had a mission there,
A callin' from above:
The Gospel of the Barbecue
must needs be spread with love.

Now, years have passed,
Our tears are dry
And our hearts are filled with pride:
Authentic Texas Barbecue
Has crossed the Great Divide.
